Setting New Benchmarks in Legal Field

World’s Leaders latest edition “World’s Most Influential Women in Law, 2023” has featured success stories of woman law experts who are taking leadership to new heights. The cover Earlean Laster, attorney at Laster & Associates, founded the firm over 25 years ago. Throughout her career, she has been committed to providing vigorous legal representation in family law and criminal defense matters. During her time at the University of Wisconsin, Madison Law School, Ms. Laster had the opportunity to intern at the City Attorney’s Office in Milwaukee. In this role, she was responsible for drafting legal documents such as pleadings, affidavits, and briefs for the Circuit Court and Court of Appeals.

The legal field is extremely difficult and demanding, and women do not typically pursue careers in it. Due to its extreme difficulty, even fewer women choose the route of litigation. But if you don’t have abilities to lead, your future isn’t as great. Some people may find this frightening because it suggests that, no matter how hard they try, there is a limit to how good a leader they can become. Your past achievements, your vision, your diligence, your planning, and your interpersonal and organizational skills are some of the elements that will determine this cap. The law’s fundamental flexibility makes it comforting when applied to the highest level. It would be silly to think that your current role as a leader represents the pinnacle of your skills. Leaders can always do better, but it will require a consistent commitment and a willingness to put in a lot of effort. “World’s Most Influential Women in Law, 2023” has featured many women legal experts like Earlean Laster who have made their place amongst the leading female litigators by contributing in some of the most impactful litigation cases.
