Describe who you are as a person, inside and outside the workplace. 

I am a curious, hardworking, and passionate individual with a deep commitment to personal and professional growth. Inside the workplace, I thrive on innovation, constantly seeking new ways to solve problems and drive positive change. My work is fueled by a genuine desire to inspire others, especially the next generation of entrepreneurs. As a mentor at Techstars, I have the privilege of guiding startups, helping them navigate challenges and scale their ideas into successful ventures. This role allows me to share my experiences, while also learning from the incredible talent and fresh perspectives that emerging founders bring.

Outside of work, I stay grounded by exploring new hobbies, cultivating meaningful relationships, and seeking experiences that broaden my understanding of the world. Whether it’s through travel, reading, or simply connecting with others, I remain committed to growth and authenticity in all aspects of life.

What has made you successful? What do you value? 

My success has been driven by my commitment to providing value and building meaningful connections with my audience. I started on X (formerly Twitter), where I consistently shared insightful content and expressed gratitude to my followers. This approach allowed me to build emotional connections. Over the years, I’ve been recognized with several awards, including being named the №65 B2B Marketing Twitter Influencer in 2015, ranked among the Top 100 Virtual Reality Influencers in 2017, and the Top 100 Digital Transformation Influencers in 2018 by Onalytica. In 2019, I was recognized as the №6 Global AI Influencer and №1 Global Marketing Influencer in 2020 by Thinkers360.

Building my personal brand has been key, and I’ve always reinvested in it — whether it’s through my website, where I currently rank №1 for “digital marketing keynote speaker,” or through free content on X, podcasts, and at conferences. I value authenticity and leading by example, not titles. Above all, I am a giver, sharing my best insights freely to help others thrive. This approach has been instrumental in my journey and success.

I am a big believer in teamwork. While individual heroics can drive short-term results, long-term success is built on strong team processes. My own success has been deeply rooted in the support and collaboration of my followers and network. In organizations, it’s the collective effort, shared goals, and diverse skills that truly propel growth. When teams work together, they bring unique perspectives, complement each other’s strengths, and create innovative solutions that one individual alone might not be able to achieve. Teamwork fosters creativity that drives both personal and organizational success. Ultimately, it’s the synergy between individuals that makes all the difference in achieving lasting impact.

What are your responsibilities as Mentor at Techstars? What is the happiest part of your daily routine?

As a mentor at Techstars, my primary responsibility is to guide entrepreneurs in marketing, building their personal brands, and connecting more deeply with their consumers through content creation. I help startups focus on strategies that prioritize retention and lifetime value, ensuring they create lasting relationships with their customers. The happiest part of my day is when entrepreneurs reach out to tell me that the strategies I’ve shared have made a real difference in their growth. Knowing that I’ve played a role in their success and helped them navigate key challenges is incredibly fulfilling.

What advice would you give someone going into a leadership position for the first time? 

My advice is to focus on building their personal brand and thought leadership. Start by creating content consistently across social media platforms to showcase your expertise, share valuable insights, and engage with your audience. A strong online presence helps build trust and credibility, which is essential for any leader. Additionally, invest in building your own website as a central hub for your brand — it adds professionalism and makes it easier for others to find you. It’s also crucial to think long-term. Leadership is not just about short-term wins but creating sustainable impact. Stay passionate about what you do, as genuine passion will inspire your team and stakeholders. Leadership is about influence, and when you lead with purpose and consistency, you naturally inspire others to follow and contribute to your vision.
