‘Today’s Gender Equality, Tomorrow’s Sustainability’

Every year on March 8, the world celebrates International Women’s Day. The day is observed to honour women’s accomplishments, to raise awareness about gender inequality, and to take action for equality. The goal of the day is to share dialogue in order to establish a more gender-neutral society. Various activities and seminars are held on this day to attain this goal, with individuals giving speeches and holding conversations. Here are some speech and essay topics to consider for this year’s International Women’s Day.

“Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow” is the theme for this year’s International Women’s Day. We’ve compiled the greatest speech and essay topics to help you commemorate this day in style. To read them, scroll down.

Gender equality is a fundamental human right as well as a prerequisite for a peaceful and thriving society.

Girls and women, on the other hand, continue to confront tremendous obstacles all throughout the world. Women are traditionally underrepresented in positions of authority and decision-making. They are paid unequally for equal labour, and they frequently encounter legal and other obstacles that limit their employment options.

Girls and women are frequently viewed as less important than males in poor countries. Instead of going to school, they are frequently forced to do household chores or are married off for a dowry before they reach adulthood. Every year, as many as 12 million teenage females marry.

While considerable progress has been made in certain regions of the world much more needs to be done to address the issues of gender inequality.

A View towards the Progress

Women’s empowerment is described as fostering women’s self-esteem, capacity to make their own decisions, and right to affect societal change for themselves and others.

Women and girls who are healthy, educated, and empowered are agents of change, according to World’s Leaders. Women and girls have opportunities to stand up for their rights and advocate for their communities when they are encouraged. They can also improve their social position, which they can pass down to future generations. This implies that women’s organisations, empowerment initiatives, and charities may acquire traction and help build a better society.
