These are not new business operation ideas. They’ve been used by businesses and companies for a long time. Outsourcing is a business agreement and strategic management initiative for gaining a competitive advantage for a firm by contracting out existing internal and/or external non-value added functions, value-added functions, and/or core competencies to competent suppliers to produce products and/or services efficiently and efficaciously. Offshoring is when a firm grows its workforce with the assistance of another company in order to take advantage of the skills, salaries, and monetary value available in another location.
Pedro Barboglio is the CEO of Remote Team Solutions, a company that focuses on building great teams for great companies. It helps with creating, developing, and administering an offshore and near-shore remote workforce by providing all aspects of personnel management, recruiting, and human resource services.
Pedro is an international entrepreneur with a track record of success in a variety of areas, including service, information technology, and food production.
Below are the highlights of the interview conducted between the World’s Leaders and Pedro Barboglio.
Brief our audience about your journey as a business leader. What challenges did you have to face to reach where you are today?
I started to work in the IT department of the family business, a food manufacturing company. From there, I was given more responsibilities as time passed, until I became VP of the company. Some of the challenges in this chapter of my life were opening the US market, going through a fire in our manufacturing facility, and building a new factory. In 2018, I stepped down as VP to focus 100% on Remote Team Solutions.
Describe Remote Team Solutions’ offerings that address the needs of your customers.
Remote Team Solutions offers nearshore teams for our customers. Based on the needs of our customers, we will build and staff their team, which functions as an extension of their current team. We become their employee of record, manage all the payroll and legal compliance, and support them with all our departments like HR & Talent development, IT, etcetera.
Enlighten us on how you have made an impact on this industry through your expertise in the industry.
We are the first company in Mexico to offer staffing solutions for any position. Most companies provide only a few roles, like IT, Executive Assistant, and Customer Service, but we give our clients the ability to form a multidiscipline team.
What are the challenges you and your team at Remote Team Solutions come across in your day-to-day operations?
I would say that the main daily challenge is finding the best candidate for our customers.
What people, what books, what life factors have influenced and impacted you?
My dad and mom have had a great influence on me; both of them are entrepreneurs. As for books, I try to read at least one every month. Some of my favorites are: Good to Great, Hundred Percenters, and How to win friends and influence people, who move my cheese, Winning: The ultimate business how-to book, and Who: The A Method for hiring.
Taking into consideration, the current pandemic, and its impact on global economies, how are you driving your organization to sustain operations and ensure the safety of your employees at the same time?
We have implemented strict safety protocols to ensure the safety of all our employees, and we have tools and processes in place to work remotely if needed.

We try to make Remote Team Solutions one of the best places to work, where all the ideas are heard. The work culture is very relaxed; we put the staff first and make sure they are motivated. It feels more like a family than a workplace. Our main values/principles are honesty and candor: we make sure that any employee can speak their mind and encourage them to contribute ideas; Service and Quality: We make sure to give everything to provide the best quality and service to our clients. Constant Improvement: We want to keep improving, each day. Each day should be better than the last day. Keep learning.
Where do you envision yourself being in the long run and what are your future goals for Remote Team Solutions?
We want to keep adding value to our customers. We envision ourselves opening more offices in different states of Mexico and adding more services that would generate value for all our customers.
What would be your advice to budding entrepreneurs?
Being an entrepreneur is not easy; you will have a lot of setbacks and failures. Don’t get down, learn from them, and use them to grow yourself, but never give up and don’t do things halfway; you always have to give your best effort, be patient, and keep learning new things.
