Describe who you are as a person, inside and outside of the workplace.
As a child growing up in Los Angeles, I was prone to ponder the Big Questions of: 1) What are we? 2) What is this universe we live in? and 3) How do we have a better experience while we’re here? This curiosity propelled me to first go to school in Massachusetts to get my degree in world religion.
Describe your background and what did you do before you started/joined the company?
I started coaching in 1994. Focusing on helping other people fed my soul. I began professionally coaching other entertainment professionals, and wonderful things started happening within the first few weeks: actors and writers with no credits were booking series regular and staff positions overnight. My first-time director sold his film for half a million dollars. Another actor won an Emmy. My clients called me “magical.” I decided this was my path, and I never looked back.
And then I hit my money wall. I had a great reputation as a coach and was getting referrals all the time. I had stellar testimonials. I had my website, my business cards, my tagline, and my millionaire mindset. And it was like I had superhuman powers to repel money. I hit my lowest point in early 2003, when I was barely making $100 a month. Given all I was doing right, I find that level of financial failure impressive!
Nothing worked. I took more and more classes to improve my inner and outer game. I did everything I was told, did it well, and… made even less money on the other side. Nobody else’s systems or solutions worked for me. I had to find my own.
And that’s when I accidentally found an approach that didn’t look, feel, or sound like anything anyone else was doing at the time: approaching relationships as if money were a *person*. I changed my relationship with money from a scary “monster” of scarcity and rejection into a sexy “honey” who loved me and wanted to stay with me. The next day, 4 people hired me for double the highest amount I had ever charged before.
Clients kept coming. My prices kept getting higher. I ended up creating group programs, self-study programs, exotic retreats in other countries, and an international #1 best-selling workbook, and I’ve made millions of dollars since changing my money “person” all those years ago.
And now I have the time and wealth to travel the world, getting married 100 times in 100 countries (to the same man). Because I believe the true purpose of money, and human life is to serve love, lifestyle, and legacy.
What has made you successful? What do you value?
I have coached thousands of clients. I focus on cultivating and supporting world-changing women leaders to heal the rift between heart, spirit, and money. To save the world as only they can.
Clients typically come to me after they’ve tried everything else. They are CEOs, entrepreneurs, artists, healers, and even high-profile household names and best-sellers. They find themselves hitting a financial setback or some other drama or limitation that doesn’t budge with their existing tools.
My clients have reported 5, 6, and 7-figure results (and more), sometimes within hours (or minutes) of our coaching. Many began at zero or with huge debt and are now multimillionaire industry leaders.
My motto, and you’ll see it on my website, is “Make more money by putting love first.”
This is critically important for women. If money and love play on opposing teams, everyone loses. Money and love must work in tandem for financial success to stick.
I’ve been in business for 29 years. I’ve had tens of thousands of clients. I’ve used a multitude of online platforms, been on television, radio, and in print all over the world, am a bestselling author, a retreat retreats in Bali 11 times, and I’ve come to a place in which I’m really happiest coaching a very small number of clients—mostly women—for really big results. That’s what love feels like in my business today.
Which are the major services of the company and how do the company to get ahead in the competition? What value-added services does the company provide?
First, success without failure is called luck. It’s bullshit. It doesn’t teach you what you need to learn to replicate it. You’ll get better results over the long term through trial and error.
That failure becomes fuel for your evolution.
I call my signature process Financial Alchemy®. Alchemy is the art of transmuting leaden human experience — the worst of the worst — into spiritual and material gold. It would be such a waste to have gone through hell and not get to milk it for every gift it can give you, right?
A woman becomes wealthy, powerful, happy, and successful in ALL areas of her life to the exact degree to which she masters the ability to say no to everything that doesn’t exalt her.
One more thing: Change happens at the speed of safety. If change isn’t happening, something isn’t safe. Find the monster.
This is huge. Especially for women. Go at your own pace. If you’re doing everything right and you aren’t seeing results, odds are you are unconsciously protecting yourself from what you want. You really aren’t a failure; you’re just very successful at protecting yourself from what you want. It’s like you’re driving with the breaks on. Take the time to uncover what’s in the way.
About leadership:
You cannot treat different people as if they are the same. Even if you are guiding two individuals through the exact same process, you must make modifications to serve the human being. If you are masterful, the same process is not going to look, sound, or pace the same.
Processes exist to serve people. People do not exist to serve processes. Including in organizations.
One person may need twenty minutes, and another person may need seven hours to get to the same destination. Neither is better or worse. It’s just what a person needs.
I’ve had a 15-minute conversation lead to a $1.2 million sale a few hours later, and I’ve had another client make $1.2 million from the same inner journey… Only with her did it took us 7 hours.
People need what they need. The fascinating and exciting thing about human beings is that they are endlessly resourceful at coming up with new obstacles and twists that you’ve never seen before, and finding solutions simply makes the work richer and better.
Give us your opinion on: Do organizations rely heavily on individual heroics or team processes?
The best organizations bring out the hero in every member, while honoring the different needs and strengths of the individuals. Some people are members of a team, others need space to create with autonomy. You cannot make people what they are not, but you can create an environment that makes it easier for them to be the best of who and what they are.
Honestly, I believe women are far more suited to understand that. One of the advantages of being disadvantaged (it’s not a level playing field) is that our own struggles can sensitize us to other systemic problems. We can perceive what wants to happen if we’re willing to pause and pay attention.
