Linda Roth, Instructor at World Martial Arts Academy, has a lifelong connection to martial arts. Martial arts has been a significant presence in her life from an early age. Linda’s father embarked on his journey into Judo and Korean Karate lessons during his 30s, ultimately becoming an instructor by the time Linda was born. Even during her toddler years, Linda accompanied her father to his classes, as evidenced by home videos capturing her learning basic movements on the mat while still in diapers.
In terms of formal training, Linda’s initial foray into martial arts was through Judo lessons, a discipline deeply cherished by her father. However, her aspirations shifted as she grew older. Inspired by one of her older sisters who had achieved a black belt in Karate when Linda was around 9 years old, she developed a desire to follow in her sister’s footsteps. Approaching this transition with a mixture of excitement and apprehension, Linda distinctly recalls the nervousness she felt when seeking permission to transition from Judo to Korean Karate lessons. Eventually, her request was granted, allowing her to embark on her journey into Korean Karate.
