She is a celebrated Australian who was born in China has 20 years of logistics experience. She is also a speaker, influencer, and the author of the best-selling book “Changemakers” on Amazon. Kristy is a highly motivated and influential female leader renowned for her zeal, optimism, and distinctive personality, which gives people’s lives brightness, power, and vitality.
Career Path
Kristy wasn’t very self-assured when she was in primary school, but she recognized she had a leadership gift, which is why she was always a wonderful assistant to the instructor. From middle school through her time in college, Kristy held a variety of leadership positions, including those of class and school captain, topic senator, and supervisors. She participated in every activity and subject while also encouraging her classmates to learn more effectively.
Kristy started her first job when she was 17+ and graduated from university when she was 18.
Kristy shares, “I only took one year Pre before Uni, so I graduated about three years earlier than others. I realized that my family wasn’t prosperous, and I needed to be financially independent the earlier the possible. That’s also one reason I was always the youngest leader among all. ”
Kristy formerly held the position of Head of Trade Oceanfreight ANZ at a prestigious international logistics and freight forwarding firm. One of Australia’s largest freight forwarders sponsored her. She then relocated her small family from Hong Kong to Australia at that time. For approximately ten years, Kristy worked as a freight forwarder in Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Kristy saw how that business grew from a modest size to one with up to 2000 employees and from 5 to 30+ international offices.
For Kristy, starting SGN is a dream come true. She has always had a passion for people and networking. The previous experience she had brought success, which could only happen with her strong networking skills. She asserts, “Most importantly, my passion is for people and multicultural. I love to see people from different places of the world getting together.” Kristy found her gift in strengthening people’s relationships and connecting with various nations and people.
Every time Kristy goes to work, she always positions herself in the position of the company owner, acting in their best interests. No matter what position she was in, that enabled her to become a leader. Everywhere and whenever she was, Kristy had an impact. But as time went on, she began to realize that she needed a broader stage in order to have a greater impact because there was so much possibility for improvement, but the role’s constraints prevented her from doing so.
The moment Kristy recognized she had a plan—to launch her own company, a worldwide logistics network—it was after she wrote her first book, rose to fame as an international best-selling author, and spoke up for others to follow their ambitions.
According to Kristy, joining Signature Global Network offers the logistics sector and the global logistics network new hope and trends. Kristy says, “It was a great decision that we started making a difference from the first day of the business launch, and it still has been making a difference every day.”

Process of Excellency
As Kristy notes, there are numerous ways to manage established practices and procedures, but ultimately, it comes down to working with and talking with people. Maintaining great communication and connecting before coming to a decision are the easiest steps to do. There are three key Cs. (Connecting, Communicating and Coming to an action.)
- The key to connecting is ‘truly care’ and ‘build up a true relationship’;
- The key to communicating is ‘be honest’ and never overpromise;
- The key to coming to an action is ‘be clear about the purpose’ and ‘be practical’; action speaks louder than words. Let clients see and know what you have done for them. No matter what the result will be, they know that you care and have done your best.
Role in Leadership
Since Kristy is the owner of SGN, she is in charge of all business-related matters. But collaboration is always superior to a solo effort. She enjoys using a large team, whether through hiring or outsourcing. Her vital responsibility is to set an example. She says, “Always be willing to listen and communicate with my staff or any working partners.”
Kristy has a new booking that is related to joyful leadership. In that book, she will share more about accepting various people, their values, and their cultures. She has a gift for recognizing the beauty in everyone and in the diversity of cultures. It gives her passion and joy. She adds, “One of the main reasons I wanted to have this network business is my biggest desire – to show the whole world that we are one.”
Apart from all the other awards, Kristy and her business, SGN, received a Business Multicultural Award in 2022 by AU Mumpreneur. Kristy performs leadership skills not just in her business and work career but also in her family and friends. She is always the one who connects and strengthens people together. She always chooses to be the one to lead a joyful life despite the circumstance.
Actions Speak Louder than Words
Kristy hopes that her story of faith and perseverance will inspire others to follow their dreams. She says, “Nothing is impossible if you hold your strong faith.
It is the biggest weapon to conquer any of your fear in life.”
Many people lack a better purpose in life. If people grasp the value of having a meaningful purpose and often ask themselves why they are doing anything, Kristy thinks she can help them realize this. It will greatly improve society. Morality and self-discipline will be greatly enhanced. She is referring to a goal that is greater than a single individual; it is a goal that is selfless and greater than oneself.
In the world, there are many people talking and many people thinking. But good deeds alone are insufficient. Kristy enjoys writing, sharing her ideas, and speaking whenever she has the chance. She understands, however, that what she does speaks for herself, regardless of what she believes or says. So, she hopes to help people and society have the best deeds in everyone’s life, and everyone can do something for each other, not themselves.
Kristy always dreams of the day that there are no fights, quarrels, or selfish behaviors in this world; everyone respects each other so much, not to pretend, but to treat each other well and to love each other. She asserts, “They will understand that true happiness comes from treating others well because everything has two sides; only when we treat others as we want to be treated can we bring ourselves true happiness. If we seek pleasure, we should show kindness and joy to others.”
Leadership Points for Emerging Visionaries
The most significant risk Kristy has taken was starting from nothing when she had everything. She shares, “I had a great job and fantastic pay, but I had to start from scratch. I had to use my money and time to invest in something that I could not see yet. It’s all because of the faith that drives me.”
Kristy believes that only humility can make one the best leaders and can make a joyful leader. Below are a few points shared on leadership by Kristy for emerging leaders:
- Be brave and faithful, and don’t be afraid of failure, as it is the start of your success and a path to it. There’s no other road that can guide you there.
- No pain, no gain. Whatever happens in life that drives you crazy or is very painful, just treat it as an opportunity. It provides you with the opportunity to grow into a more powerful version of yourself, allowing you to influence and help more people.
- Be humble and never stop learning.
The Next Five Years
From Kristy’s perspective, in the future, SGN will have at least hundreds of members across the globe, standing firm to its network motto, ‘we rise by lifting others’. She asserts, “We will be the logistics hero’s HQ, where the logistics experts will be joining together and helping to make a difference in the industry.”
More valuable voices are heard, and lots of business is happening because of SGN’s network’s efforts and the focus on its four core values: quality, trust, relationships built, and mutual synergies. Kristy believes that SGN will have a minimum of two biannual conferences each year on the world’s different continents. She says, “We stay focused on practical things that improve people’s lives and this industry daily.”
