Jonathan Gadiah considers it a privilege and an honor to have already been a part of the Tourism Industry for 19 years and looks forward to many more exciting years ahead. Starting at the grass root level, he is grateful for the opportunity he has been given while working his way up the ranks to his current role as CEO. He holds great respect for his cue and acknowledges all those who guided and mentored him on this incredible journey. People are assets to any organization, and at Thompsons Africa, they are no different. He is proud to be a part of a super, amazing team and relishes the thought of coming to work every day. He often reminds their people that they are not just admin staff in a corporate office but rather, they are responsible for making other people’s dreams come true – what an incredible responsibility and opportunity to make a lasting impression on any guest visiting their shores. Southern Africa is still viewed as an exotic destination. What a privilege that they live and work in this exceptional place! To quote the remarkable Nightingale, “The biggest mistake you can make is to believe that you are working for somebody else. The driving force of a career must come from the individual, and they need to remember that jobs are owned by the company, but you own your career.”
