LiveHire’s Chief Product and Technology Officer is Jennifer Byrne. Jennifer joined Microsoft in 2014 as the Chief Security Officer for the Worldwide Public Sector Division and was previously in charge of market development projects utilizing business model and technological innovation for government, healthcare, and education providers worldwide.
Jennifer was a pioneer in the field of cybersecurity before joining Microsoft. She has worked for organizations including Intel, McAfee, and Symantec in technical, sales, and managerial capacities. She started her IT career working for US government customers as an information security analyst and engineer. Her first job was in the non-profit sector, working with underserved groups, and it is still her interest today.
Jennifer possesses firsthand understanding of the strategies and business models that have emerged in the sector, having held senior positions at Microsoft, McAfee, Symantec, and other major tech companies in addition to smaller seed-stage startups.
Jennifer asserts that when one looks back on their career, it always makes sense. Your journey is rarely linear, but even when it is, there’s generally a reason for it, even if it’s not always clear at first. She adds that we have to allow ourselves to make uncomfortable decisions in life and at work if we want to take advantage of the opportunities that come our way.
