1964 saw Hermann’s birth in Vienna. Following his graduation from the Vienna University of Economics and Business, he worked in the hospital and social security industries, gaining expertise in both fields. Hermann began working for the Wiener Städtische insurance group in 1998, holding a number of managerial roles at that time.
Hermann’s career has seen several significant turning points, including managing the health and personal insurance lines, running the regional headquarters in Vienna, and serving on the board of directors and overseeing marketing, sales, advertising, and property insurance.
Hermann taught at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and sat on a number of supervisory boards. He eventually left his position at the insurance firm, having always been interested in and involved in digital insurance, and began teaching courses at Oxford University and Chicago Booth on digitalization. Hermann has been employed by bsurance, an InsurTech firm, for the past three years.
Hermann is a renowned insurance specialist and a former Wiener Städtische Versicherung managing board member. He oversees the growth of the business’s insurance relationships at bsurance. Furthermore, he has collaborated with sales partners from banks, telecoms, retail, energy suppliers, mobility providers, and start-ups to build novel insurance solutions.
