The Get Savvy Club helps coaches set up and use social media to stand out from their competition and get more leads that turn into business. It is run by Anna Geary and Anita Baldwin. The two came to the realization that they were more knowledgeable than many so-called social media gurus and combined simple social media strategies with business planning. They offer business owners coaching on how to quickly gain customers via social media. A 90-day online program is exclusive to Anita and Anna. Setting up and attracting clients using social media platforms in the most efficient way requires step-by-step coaching and responsibility.
Below are highlights of the interview conducted between World’s Leaders and Anita Baldwin:
Describe who you are as a person, inside and outside of the workplace.
I am a woman of a certain age, and I’m happy to be so. I have spent years being a mom, a wife, a housekeeper, and a corporate worker. This kept me pretty busy, but I realized I was putting myself last all the time. Fast forward to now, and my kids are old enough to look after themselves, and I’ve started a business. I started Get Savvy Club with my business partner, Anna, as a side hustle to help other amazing business owners get seen and grow their businesses, but it exploded, and now that’s all we do. There are so many out there who are truly awesome but struggle to promote themselves. It’s cringy, braggy, and not “us,” but it’s the difference between a hobby and a business. We make it easy for them and have built a community along the way. I love it.
Describe your background and what did you do before you started/joined the company?
I have been in marketing for 30 years for a variety of different corporations. I have managed budgets of millions of pounds and led large teams, but I wouldn’t swap any of that for the work I do now. I get to see every day the difference I am making in lives, and I love those “aha” moments!
Tell us about the inception of the company. How did it all start?
It started at my kitchen table with a budget of zero! We had a vision of a simple online program to help businesses like ours get more clients with an easy step by step system. It went wildly well, though, and we have now helped thousands of businesses.
What has made you successful? What do you value?
We are our clients. We literally teach what we know works, and we make sure it doesn’t require more money, crazy attention-seeking actions, or “doing” marketing all day. We value honesty, and we get to the heart of what our clients are offering and help them get their message out there.
Which are the major services of the company and how do the company to get ahead in the competition? What value-added services does the company provide?
We show clients how to use organic social media to get seen and find new clients. We also include content, set up, monetization, lead magnets, email, and the most important part—getting over the imposter syndrome that holds our wonderful clients back. We are probably not for everyone because we are honest, forthright, and have a wicked sense of humor, but we get results, and everyone has fun along the way!
What are the most important aspects of a company’s culture? What principles do you believe in and how do you build this culture?
We help our clients be successful by being themselves. We value honesty highly and steer clear of the online “exaggerations” that we see constantly.
What is the significance of innovative ideas in the company?
We are on the ground every day and, as such, have an awesome understanding of the challenges facing small businesses. We work hard to provide products, services, and bonuses that address these challenges and result in success for our clients.
Give us your opinion on; do organizations rely heavily on individual heroics or team processes?
Processes are obviously extremely important, but I believe that organizations need a team of amazing individuals to innovate regularly.
What are your responsibilities as the Founder/CEO/MD of the company? What is the happiest part of your daily routine?
We don’t really have set responsibilities. My business partner Anna and I are great at communicating daily, and we just both do what needs to be done!
What advice would you give someone going into a leadership position for the first time?
It’s very hard to be accountable without being responsible, but the best way is to view yourself as a facilitator, and your job is to help your team be the best they can. They should be better than you!
