Every day, physical and chemical changes take place all around you. Change enables us to advance in life and take part in novel and interesting experiences. Life might become stagnant if you don’t actively strive to grow. Changes that you never realized were possible can be brought about by being open to change, picking up new talents, or working on your inner self. Making substantial changes to the way a corporation or organization operates is referred to as “business transformation.” Personnel, procedures, and technology are all included in this. Organizations that undergo these changes are better able to compete, become more efficient, or completely change their strategic direction. Denise Sangster, President & CEO of Global Touch, Inc works hard to meet her objectives and deal with everyday changes.
From the Beginning
Denise Sangster graduated from Cal, the University of California, Berkeley. She began her studies at Cal as a math major before switching to a business administration and computer science major. She also received “varsity” letters in two NCAA Division 1 sports, rowing and swimming. She finished her postgraduate studies in the US, Europe, and Asia.
Denise didn’t want to just work for one company; she wanted to do something a little different. Building a consulting firm that was at the forefront of or close to market shifts was something she wanted to do in order to participate in the larger market. Having in-depth, first-hand market knowledge and extensive industry relationships that factor into numerous indicators with a focus on growth, profitability, and partner leverage are the only ways to spot these shifts. Many of her former sales colleagues in Europe and Asia encouraged her to start a consultancy company to aid them with their companies when she was considering switching to a post at Microsoft or Apple.
Denise seized this chance with both hands and never looked back. She has counselled the most cutting-edge technology companies in the world for more than 25 years, assisting and motivating them to create disruptive next-generation partner ecosystems that produce predictable and sustainable revenue, growth, and profitability that are in line with necessary customer business outcomes.
Global Touch, Inc.
Global Touch is a strategy and go-to-market transformation consulting company for the hybrid and consumption eras that focuses on partners. They take great satisfaction in the fundamental “step-ahead” concept, which is infused with ground-breaking innovation. Denise helps the clients push the envelope and deliver on consumption era readiness so they can accomplish their most ambitious goals with the help of top-tier, lucrative partners.
Global Touch launched its blog series IT Wondrous Women™ in February 2021 with the goal of showcasing the many outstanding women who work in the IT sector. It has been so successful at highlighting women with a variety of talents and showcasing the plethora of rising female abilities in a male-dominated industry.
Denise and her team at Global Touch are true partners! They can interact with them and comprehend their issues and new prospects thanks to their extensive industry contacts. As CEO, it is her responsibility to make sure the business keeps supporting the success of its clients, and she keeps them one step ahead of the dynamic market competition. Additionally, Denise consistently looks for ways to bring value to the clients’ businesses and treats them like lifelong customers.
Her vast field expertise in more than 100 nations, her global contact network, and her natural curiosity are some of her strongest suits. The most crucial aspect of each customer engagement is information transfer.
Thrive on Change
There have been a lot of surprises, detours, and turns throughout Denise’s path. The most significant lesson she has gained from her journey is that change is a given; as a result, it’s necessary to keep your eyes on the horizon. Future leaders need to develop the habit of celebrating their staff’s modest victories every day. The performance of the team and the business is boosted by meaningfully recognizing daily accomplishments. Besides her pets and appointments that are particular to a time zone, change is required. She enjoys how quickly the IT sector is changing. Rapid change with rising uncertainty, complexity, and volatility has become the new norm as change occurs every day. In many respects, she believes that if you want to succeed in this industry, you need to be a thrill seeker.
Clients See around the Curves
The ability to assist clients in fine-tuning programs to achieve planned and opportunistic success sets Denise apart from the competitors, despite the fact that her company has a proven track record of success. Denise and her team treat clients as lifelong customers, so that they can assist the clients in navigating any new challenges that may arise.
The company’s three decades of success have been based on the ability to work closely with customers to balance increasing revenue through a fruitful global partner ecosystem and assisting their partners in realizing substantial profit margins for goods and services.
In addition to sharing the knowledge of how to support partners with the portfolio, programs, and benefits needed to future-proof outcomes that customers need and want, Denise achieves this by leveraging her extensive global field experience and operating in a data-centric culture wrapped in data storytelling. The majority of IT organizations still interact with and value their partners in the same manner as they did 15 years ago.
“Instead, we find success by treating customers as customers for life and devising ways to interact with them, even when they don’t have the budget to make short-term purchases.”– says Denise
Aspiring Female Tech Leaders
Denise Sangster advises female leaders to always attend every meeting and discussion superbly prepared and to dazzle colleagues, supervisors, and clients with their strategic thoughts and readiness for anything that would advance the company or client. By doing this, one should raise their own profile in a professional manner without coming across as cocky or conceited. She also encourages emerging leaders to have confidence in their business acumen, interpersonal skills, and etiquette. Many women are unaware of the importance of a firm handshake and how it may make a lasting first impression with both men and women. One needs to improve the inner dialogue and activate the inner coach instead.
To maximize one’s profile, contact and social relationships are crucial. As Denise says, “Leverage or build a tool to continually nurture your network around the world. LinkedIn is a great tool for tracking contacts, but adding value to them is the hard part. I am lucky that many in my network around the world have turned into personal friendships.”
Future Vision
To keep the company relevant and in front of shifting market conditions, clients constantly update and take on new requirements. The team continues to use data and data storytelling as a framework to proactively identify shifting partner and consumer issues, including the areas where the clients’ shifting strategies may succeed the most or encounter unforeseen difficulties. How can a company “raise” the services and help the partners succeed even more? This is a question companies ask constantly. Denise and her team are working on a couple of concepts that won’t be available until the second half of 2022.
