David Cost: VP of Digital and Ecommerce at Rainbow Apparel Co

At Rainbow Shops, an omnichannel fast fashion retailer with over 1000 locations in the US, Puerto Rico, and US Virgin Islands, David Cost oversees all digital initiatives. In addition to shoes and accessories, Rainbow has a large assortment of apparel for ladies, plus sizes, and kids. Think of Forever 21 as TJ Maxx.

David has worked as an early adopter and beta tester for startups including Oven Bits, BloomReach, TellApart, 8thBridge, and Instant Labs, contributing to the development of innovative ecommerce technologies. He has sat on the advisory boards for BWG Strategy, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Listrak, CommerceNext, Signifyd, Attentive, and Shopify. David has spoken at a number of conferences, including Grow Commerce, eTail East, Signifyd Flow, IRCE, Shop.org, Salesforce Xchange, and CommerceNext.

David began his online career in the late nineties. He developed one of the first price comparison shopping websites, PriceSCAN.com, which he co-founded. Consider PLAs prior to Google’s creation.
