Describe your background and what you did before you joined the Creative Tech Hub Caribbean.
Prior to establishing Creative Tech Hub Caribbean, I was the CEO of Spang Makandra, where I started shortly after my first full-time job. Prior to that I was a student with entrepreneurs skills who had built a robust background in technology. My entrepreneurial skills helped me become an intrapreneur at Spang Makandra, where I grew from my role as account manager to operational lead and then CEO. With the purpose of providing a full portfolio of digital transformation services, I co-founded more startups with my business partner, Vincent Kenswil. These ventures not only honed my skills but also fueled my drive to bridge the gap between creativity, education, and technology. That’s how Creative Tech Hub Caribbean was founded: a platform, a network, an agency, an academy where we support companies and talents to be successful in the digital Economy.
Tell us about the inception of the company. How did it all start?
The inception of Creative Tech Hub Caribbean was an exciting journey that originated from a shared vision among Vincent Kenswil and myself. Although he had different views on how we should approach this, he gave me full support to do it my way. Recognizing the untapped potential of merging technology with creativity, we set out to establish a platform that could harness this synergy. Our journey began with intensive brainstorming sessions, culminating in the formulation of our company’s mission to empower businesses and talents with digital services and talent development. And here we are today: The Caribbean’s first technology hub is led by a multiple award-winning leader.
What has made you successful? What do you value?
My success stems from a combination of factors: an unwavering commitment to our company’s mission, an ability to adapt to changing market dynamics, and a passion for fostering growth within the team and the industry as a whole. I value integrity, innovation, and collaboration. These values serve as the cornerstone of our endeavors, allowing us to forge strong partnerships and develop groundbreaking solutions that propel us forward.
What I value the most is the love and blessings of our parents, families, and friends as we work long hours to make an impact in society. They always keep supporting us with their understanding.

Give us your opinion on; do organizations rely heavily on individual heroics or team processes.
While individual contributions are invaluable, true success lies in the strength of team processes. A harmonious team is greater than the sum of its parts. Individual heroics can deliver short-term gains, but sustainable success arises from effective collaboration, shared goals, and the collective expertise of a well-functioning team.
What are your responsibilities as the president of the company? What is the happiest part of your daily routine?
As president, my responsibilities encompass strategic planning, fostering partnerships, overseeing operations, and guiding the company’s overall direction. The happiest part of my daily routine is witnessing the impact of our work, whether it’s seeing a creative solution come to life or witnessing our team members flourish both personally and professionally.
What advice would you give someone going into a leadership position for the first time?
For someone stepping into a leadership role, I would emphasize the importance of humility, active listening, and continuous learning. Embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, and always prioritize the well-being and growth of your team. A successful leader is one who empowers others to shine and nurtures an environment of trust and collaboration.
