With nearly two decades of experience in the hair industry, Skye Rose is the creator and director of House of Hair Extensions. After having had a failing previous salon in the past, Skye had the ambition to open the doors to success with the opening of House of Hair Extensions in March 2020. She discovered the hard way that success requires effort, perseverance, a solid foundational team, and a mentor who can provide guidance. For many months, she handled all of the clients and inquiries on her own. She has been working in the hair industry for 20 years, beginning with a home-based salon where she built up a clientele over the course of the first five years, when there was no such thing as social media and only word-of-mouth advertising. After five years of operating her home base salon, she finally started to get repeat business after some time. She realized at that point that her side business had grown to be far more than she had anticipated.
In 2015, Skye opened her first salon, but because she had no idea how businesses were structured, it flopped. She then took a hiatus of around two to three years, during which she learned about business, the fundamentals of being a successful business owner, and how to attract and keep repeat customers. When the House of Hair Extensions initially opened its doors, it was completely booked months in advance. Her vast knowledge enabled her to provide her staff with the necessary training so that they could become Sydney’s most favored hair extension salon.
Exceptional in the Market
In contrast to the typical hair salon, House of Hair Extensions gives an entire transformation to its clients through special treatments and distinctive styling. The House of Hair Extensions makes sure that its goods and services are reasonably priced and offer exceptional quality. Skye has developed a special application method and premium hair extensions that keep customers coming back. She is continually introducing new approaches and trends, which has a significant positive impact on the company’s client growth.
Skye is a pioneer in her field, providing both in-person and online education. She shares her vast knowledge with other women because she thinks it’s vital to share the gifts that God has given you with the rest of the world. Since the hair extension business pays the best salaries, she would really like to see everyone succeed. She started offering “education” in 2019, and since then, all of her course dates have been completely booked.
Considering Core Values
Customer satisfaction and one-on-one client service are the three pillars of the company, all of which ensure that the stylist and client are closely collaborating to get the desired look. In order to achieve this without charging a high price, it is important that every customer feels and looks their utmost best. It is a direct customer company for other salons that offer hair extensions, and it has hopes of expanding its brand internationally one day. It also has a dedicated team overseas that works to ensure that the materials are sourced carefully and that signature colors are created that customers can only discover in its salons. To stay current with emerging trends and consumer preferences, Skye created over 20 shades.
The Founder-Skye Rose
Skye is a highly sought-after and well-known hair extension specialist in Sydney. She is renowned for her installation method and location after installing hair extensions for hundreds of women all around Australia. Skye created the tiniest bonding method with the strongest hold by designing and developing MicrobondsTM.
Skye has been a qualified hairdresser for 19 years. She quickly realized that her passion was boosting women’s self-esteem. She spent roughly five years working in her backyard salon prior to starting House of Hair Extensions. She was married at the age of 22 and got divorced at the age of 30. Her two girls, who are 10 and 11, whom she raised alone, she was raised in a housing commission and came from a broken home; she didn’t receive any handouts or money from wealthy parents. That is what inspires her to keep going. She was literally brought to her knees by a broken marriage and her first failing hair salon. After several years of intense anxiety, depression, and stress, she realized that something had to change. Her mindset was what changed. She began her morning routine in 2018, which she believes had a significant role in her achievement. This regimen has completely changed her life. Every day at 4:45 a.m., she gets up to meditate, practice breath control, go to the gym, finish her daily affirmations, journal, and read a book. She firmly believes that if you have a connection to your higher self, nothing or no one can ever shatter you.
Streamlining the Procedure
Because there is so much competition in the hair industry, you must provide both excellent services and reasonable costs. One cannot exist in the absence of the other. Every day, Skye communicates with her fans. She makes sure to increase awareness of the salon’s services online and has more than 50k followers across all of her social media platforms. She uses posts and clips to educate her audience.
Skye believes that many contemporary salons simply post beautiful work without explaining the creative process or the amount of work that went into it. Let folks know how hard we worked to produce that image you just posted. Hair is hard; it’s chemistry.
When Skye chose her team, she also took into account how they portrayed themselves and their level of energy. To succeed in this field, you must have high energy levels. Even if you are the best hairstylist in the world, you will burn out if you lack energy and lead a sluggish lifestyle.
Skye says, “A team of girls who are bursting with energy and emitting love is what you see when you walk into my salon.”
Defines Her Position
As the founder of House of Hair Extensions, Skye’s greatest satisfaction is entering her salon at whatever time of day—9 a.m. or 2 p.m.—and seeing all the seats filled with happy customers and her employees buzzing with enthusiasm. She enjoys getting to know each and every one of her clients better and has a connection with each and every one of them. She also loves meeting new people. According to Skye, you must make friends with your clientele since that is how you will develop a deeper insight into who they are and where they are from. Many of her clients make three to four-hour trips, and some even travel across state lines, to visit her.
“This is pure joy for me to know clients are spending money on flights or high fuel prices just to see me when they would normally have a hair salon on the next corner.” –Skye Rose.
Success Paradigm
During lockdown in 2020, Skye developed her own range of hair care products, including many that are especially made for hair extensions. This range, which she created over the course of six months, is in high demand. Ensure that customers are aware of how to use each product and how it can help their hair extensions last longer. To make sure they are engaging with their following, her staff have daily posts on their own social media profiles. Success, in Skye’s opinion, is not at all simple or straightforward. It takes effort. It takes time, and there are days when you just want to give up, but she’s come a long way to get to where she is now. She is so dedicated to empowering women that she has had women cry in her chair, hug her, and thank her for altering their lives. When, in fact, she was changed at that same moment.
