Amazon.com Inc. announced on Tuesday that it is expanding its foray into the healthcare industry by providing a $5 monthly subscription plan for U.S. Prime members that will cover a variety of generic medications and their doorstep delivery.

According to an interview with John Love, vice president of Amazon Pharmacy, the average Prime member would save $100 annually with RxPass. In the majority of U.S. states, Amazon Prime members can sign up for the service starting on Tuesday.
